If you're wondering whether Airbnbs are safe right now, we spoke with experts who said staying at an Airbnb as opposed to a hotel may actually be one of the safer options, especially if booking the entire house so there are no interactions with hosts or other guests.Airbnb also recently implemented new procedures and cleaning policies, which include new protocols all hosts must now follow.
While the CDC just recently said people who are vaccinated can travel safely within the US, travel for those who aren't yet vaccinated still comes with risks.
How do I find an Airbnb with a pool?
Once you've put in your dates and desired location, you can click into "More filters" and scroll down to the amenities section. There you'll find a box you can tick for "Pool" so you can filter results strictly by Airbnbs with pools.
However, keep in mind this will also show you shared pools at, for example, condos with community amenities. Always read up carefully on a listing to see if the pool is actually private, or reach out to the host ahead of booking to clarify.
What should I look for in an Airbnb?
There's not shortage of Airbnb options and sifting through the options can be a tedious task. To help narrow it down, consider criteria like the items we use to select homes. Be sure to look at the overall rating, as well as recent reviews to ensure the home is still up to standards. Consider sorting for Superhost or Airbnb Plus stays to ensure a stay with top-notch decor, amentieis, and service.
What your budget is and how many people you're traveling with also depend and play a big factor. You can set filters for price and number of guests or bedrooms to help. Additionally, you can also filter your search by homes with pools. However, keep in mind that this just means the home has access to a pool, not that the pool is private. Read carefully in the listing to ensure the pool is just for you if that's a key factor for your stay.
